PEMA AND SBA LOW-INTEREST LOANS AND GRANTS FOR CITY RESIDENTS IMPACTED BY THE FLASH FLOODING OF JULY 5TH AND 6TH
 
Altoona, PA – Financial assistance is available to individuals and families affected by the July 5th and 6th, 2026 flash flooding in the City of Altoona, Blair County.
 
The Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Assistance Program (DRAP) through
the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), provides grants
to individuals and families who were affected by the flash flooding in the City of Altoona and is now activated and can be accessed online.  Visit the PEMA website at www.pa.gov/ready/drap to see if you qualify for DRAP grant funding.  The portal opens on Thursday, July 23, 2026 and all applications are due by Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Low interest loans are now available through the U.S. Small Business 
Administration (SBA) as well. This program is for homeowners, renters, private non-profit organizations and businesses who sustained physical damages from the July 5th and 6th flooding in the City of Altoona.  The deadline to return SBA Disaster Loan Applications for physical damages is Monday, Sep. 21, 2026.
